The people on your team who are added to your Freshchat account to accept and initiate chats are known as users.
To add a new user
- Login to your Freshchat account as an owner
- Go to Settings
- Click on Users and add a new user
While adding a user, you can assign screen names and roles to users. Screen name is the name which the visitors see while you are talking to them. This could be different or the same as your real name.
Here is a brief summary of roles:
An Owner sets up the account, has access to an overview of what’s happening in the account (such as the number of chats waiting, and in-conversation) and can change the settings anytime. The owner can also accept and initiate conversations.
A Manager has access to the settings but does not have access to the overview of what’s happening in the account. A Manager can accept and initiate conversations.
A User can only accept and initiate conversations. A User does not have access to the settings or to the overview of what’s happening in the account.
